The Register

Keith maintained a very demanding work schedule. Often traveling for weeks at a time, juggling numerous projects simultaneously, Keith managed to get a lot done in his short career. This section highlights Keith’s handwritten “to do” lists which include public speaking engagements, gallery installations, dinner appointments and social activities.

Keith wrote about his visit to the Lippincott Foundry in New Haven, CT:
“Of course, nothing changed as far as the creation of my work was concerned. At the prodding of Tony Shafrazi [keith's gallerist], I now become interested in the challenge of producing large outdoor sculptures– public sculptures. I begin by making my models out of aluminum in my studio, and then I start working with a foundry called Lippincott, in Connecticut. The sculptures being made look almost as if they could be climbed on, an I paint the pieces in these sculptures really bright colors so that they resemble toys.”
