The Keith Haring Foundation maintains the most comprehensive archive related to the artist and his legacy. The rich array of materials (spanning over four decades) features Haring's personal, hand-written journals, as well as publications, press clippings, audio/visual materials, memorabilia, exhibition and special project files. The Keith Haring Foundation is cataloguing and digitizing these materials to assist researchers in their scholarly pursuits and to enhance exhibitions.

I well remember seeing Keith do his work on the NYC subway walls in the late 70s/early 80s. Back then, and I say this with the greatest sincerity, I knew in my heart that this was the work of a genius. His masterful work will endure not just for decades, but for CENTURIES to come.

I always loved seeing Keith’s public art/murals back in the 80′s. Even though they were black and white, the energy and joy in those murals brightened my long commute. Seeing today’s Google doodle made me smile but it also made me sad because he’s gone. Thanks for keeping his legacy alive.
